Add Denver Nuggets coach George Karl to the list of basketball minds who see the potential for a good career in Kings rookie center DeMarcus Cousins.

“He’s got great rebounding hands,” Karl said. “He has a very good feel for the game for a young kid.”

Cousins entered Saturday’s game against the Nuggets at Pepsi Center averaging 7.7 rebounds, second among rookies.

Karl said watching Cousins’ development over the next few seasons will be interesting.

“I don’t think an All-Star performance is out of his realm of possibility,” Karl said of Cousins’ prospects in a few years. ” … If the switch goes on the right way he could be really good.”
