Bucks Consider Trading Their Top Pick?
The Milwaukee Bucks are just like every other NBA team: They’re trying to get better.
And that means the Bucks aren’t thoroughly committed to holding onto their No. 1 pick in the June 24th NBA draft.
The Bucks have the 15th overall selection, but have worked out a handful of players who are projected to be drafted later in the first round.
It’s no secret several teams drafting behind the Bucks — Portland at 20, Memphis at 25 and 28 and Oklahoma City at 21 and 26 — would like to move up in the draft and would be willing to part with a player and a draft pick.
Billy McKinney the Bucks’ director of scouting, acknowledged the Bucks have fielded calls about their pick.
“We have had some interest from other teams about that pick, which indicates to us that there could be a good player there (at 15),’’ McKinney said. “Right now, it’s all idle chatter.
“But we’re going to explore as many options as we can to improve our team.’’
