Center Mbenga To Cavaliers Or Nuggets
In Belgium, D.J. Mbenga talked about his future and his ambitions. He confessed he has refused a minimum offer from the Los Angeles Lakers and will play for the Nuggets or the Cavaliers.
What are your ambitions right now?
D.J. Mbenga : “I have compiled a quick review of my career and I still have things to prove. It happened to me the best after signing in Dallas and with the Lakers. But I still have dreams, for example being the NBA best defender. I only can do it by playing more in a franchise who wins less. So I declined a minimum contract in Los Angeles and a lot of proposals from Europe.”
What clubs are interested in you?
D.J. Mbenga : “I’m in advanced contacts with two franchises, Cleveland and Denver. My future is in one or the other.”
