Jazz Is Looking “Long And Hard” At Deals

Not surprisingly, Greg Miller was bombarded with questions about trades and Carlos Boozer. He reiterated the Jazz aren’t going to make a move by the Feb. 18 trade deadline “just to get under the luxury tax.” The front office will, however, “look long and hard” at deals that might improve the team.

Miller also talked about his excitement and high hopes for this team, which had won nine straight before Wednesday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

“Over the past month, we are playing the best basketball I’ve seen in this building since John and Karl’s Finals years in ’97-98,” Miller wrote of the Jazz, who have won 13 of their last 15 games. “These guys have exploded, and it’s fun basketball to watch.

“Personally, I like what we have on the court right now, our team chemistry is great, the locker room is united, and I think we have a good chance to win the Western Conference and get back into the NBA Finals this season.”
