Mike Brown Regrets Not Playing Ilgauskas

Cleveland Cavaliers coach Mike Brown says if he had it to do over again, he would have played Zydrunas Ilgauskas on Saturday.

Instead, the coach says Ilgauskas will play against Phoenix on Wednesday, assuring him of the franchise record for most games played.

Ilgauskas, who shares the record of 723 games with Cleveland general manager Danny Ferry, never got off the bench in Saturday’s win against the Mavericks. LeBron James criticized Brown for not getting Ilgauskas in the game so he could break the record.

Brown says Ilgauskas will not start against the Suns – an idea floated by James – but that he will play.
