Anthony Carter Lost In Bench Shuffle
With the surge of Ty Lawson — “I would never have expected this from a rookie playing on a good team,” coach George Karl said — Anthony Carter has gone from playing some to sometimes none.
Karl always speaks highly of Carter’s intangibles, notably on defense, and the coach said the two had a long chat this week.
“I know he’s disappointed, and I will honor and respect his thoughts on what’s going on, but I hope he will honor and respect what I’m trying to do too,” Karl said. “There’s no question that I trust A.C. as a basketball player. When and if an opportunity opens up, I’m going to give it to him, but right now that situation doesn’t exist.”
